Three addresses, one account: how Let's Learn Today keeps your classroom available

A lesson is about to start, a student is already waiting, and the page will not load. In that moment you should not have to wonder whether the problem is your connection or ours. You should be able to check quickly, and you should have somewhere else to go.

Here is how Let's Learn Today is set up, what that means for your account, and how to check the status of the sites yourself.

Two separate servers, one shared database

Let's Learn Today runs on two separate servers, each with its own address:

  • West: lets-learn-today.com
  • East: lets-learn-today.org, hosted in Hong Kong to serve learners in Asia

Both read from the same shared database. Our public status page describes the database as "Shared by all web servers". In practice that means one account and one set of data. Your students, lessons, notes and invoices are the same whichever address you sign in on. You do not need a second login, and nothing has to be copied across.

The status page also lists a third address, Latest/Beta, at latest.lets-learn-today.com. It uses the same shared database, so it is your real account and your real data, not a separate practice space. New features reach Latest/Beta first.

If one address is having trouble, use another

Because every address uses the same database, switching is simple. If lets-learn-today.com is slow or will not load from where you are, try lets-learn-today.org, and the other way round. Sign in with the same details and carry on.

A few habits make this easy:

  • Bookmark both addresses on the device you teach from.
  • Share both with students, and with parents where relevant, at the start of term, so they are not stuck if one address is slow for them.
  • Keep a note of the status page link next to your bookmarks.

Visitors to the .org site may also see a banner suggesting they try the .com site instead. It is optional. Your account works on either.

Check our status page yourself

You do not need to message anyone to find out whether the sites are up. Our public status page shows:

  • A banner at the top, which read "All systems operational" when we checked
  • A row each for West, East and Latest/Beta, plus a row for the database
  • An uptime bar for each row
  • A "Last full check" time, with "Auto-refresh every 60 seconds" and a "Run check now" button

Tracking began on 14 October 2026, so when we checked on 15 October most of each bar was still grey, and the uptime figure only covers the days since tracking began. The page shows the picture at the time you look, not a promise about the future. It is there so you can see the current state whenever you need it, including on a bad day.

One small detail: the "Last full check" time is shown in UTC. Convert it to your own time zone. For example, a check at 17:44 UTC is 19:44 at UTC+2. If you teach across time zones you will know this kind of conversion well. Our guide to keeping multi-timezone lesson times clear covers the scheduling side.

What this means for your teaching

For an independent tutor or a small online school, the practical points are short:

  1. Your account and data are the same at every address.
  2. If one address is struggling, switch to the other and keep teaching.
  3. You can check the status page yourself at any time, without waiting for a reply.

None of this replaces a sensible backup plan for a lesson, such as having a student's contact details to hand. It does mean that one slow address does not have to stop your day.

See it for yourself

Let's Learn Today offers "Simple pricing for teachers. Students stay free." You can see the Individual Teacher plan, which comes with a "30-day free trial, then cancel anytime". When you are ready, start your free trial, bookmark both addresses, and add the status page to your list.
